This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, and protected when you use the consolegame.dev website. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / RODO) and applicable Polish law.

We may collect and process the following categories of data:

Personal data you provide
  • Name or company name
  • Email address
  • Message content from the contact form
  • Optional project details: game title, engine and version, target platforms, game URL, desired timeline, and any additional information you choose to share
Technical data

This website does not run analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and does not build visitor profiles. As with any website, our server processes your IP address to deliver pages and to protect the contact form against abuse (rate limiting). It is kept in server logs for a few days and then deleted. This technical data is not used for analytics, not used to profile you, and not shared with advertising networks.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

  • Responding to inquiries submitted through the contact form (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR - performance of pre-contractual steps)
  • Securing the website and preventing abuse of the contact form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interest)
  • Service delivery and project communication (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR - contract performance)
  • Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
  • Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims arising from an inquiry or engagement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interest)

Providing your name, email address and message is voluntary, but without them we cannot answer your inquiry. All other form fields are optional. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies and Third-Party Resources

This website uses only strictly-necessary cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics tool or tag manager on the site. The only cookies set are essential to core functionality:

  • Anti-forgery cookie - a security cookie set when you use the contact form, to protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
  • Notification cookie - a temporary cookie used to show the confirmation message after you submit the contact form

These cookies are required for the site to work and do not track you across websites. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not require consent.

Fonts, styling, and scripts are served from this domain (self-hosted), so no third party receives your data for them. The home and portfolio pages, however, load game artwork directly from Steam's content delivery network, which receives your IP address as part of the standard image request:

  • Steam CDN (shared.steamstatic.com, operated by Valve Corporation) - game artwork hosted by Steam, shown on the home and portfolio pages

5. Data Sharing and Processors

The personal data you provide is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It is processed on our behalf only by:

  • Microsoft Azure (website hosting) - Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Ireland. This website runs on Azure App Service in the Poland Central region. Azure processes the data you submit through the contact form and your IP address (rate limiting, short-lived server logs) under the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum
  • OVH SAS (email hosting) - France. Our email provider receives your inquiry so we can read and answer it, under OVH's data-processing agreement
  • Public authorities, where required by law

Where your data is stored. Both providers store and process your data in data centers located in the European Union (Poland and France). Microsoft has committed, under its EU Data Boundary, to keep customer data and pseudonymized log data for Azure within the EU and EFTA.

Transfers outside the EEA. In limited cases described in Microsoft's EU Data Boundary documentation (remote technical support, security operations, network routing), Microsoft may access or transfer limited data outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States. Such transfers are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Microsoft Corporation is certified, and additionally by the Standard Contractual Clauses (2021) included in Microsoft's Data Protection Addendum. A copy of these safeguards is available at aka.ms/dpa or from us on request.

The Steam content delivery network described in Section 4 is operated by Valve Corporation (USA) and receives only your IP address when game artwork loads, not your form data. Valve participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority - Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa

7. Data Retention

  • Contact form data - kept for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, and afterwards for up to 3 years, the limitation period for business claims under Polish law, so that we can establish, exercise or defend legal claims if needed
  • Contractual data - retained for the duration of the engagement plus the period required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 5 years)

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit and restricted access to personal data.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page with the date of the last update.
